Ethics in the 4IR

This webinar series explores the ethical challenges and considerations arising from the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) in finance, healthcare, and education, focusing on the university. Each webinar brings together experts from diverse backgrounds to examine the intricate ethical implications of emerging technologies and their profound effects on these vital sectors. The finance webinar examines the ethical dimensions of algorithms, automation, and data-driven decision-making within the financial industry, while the healthcare webinar probes into the ethical dilemmas surrounding AI in healthcare, data privacy, and the autonomy of patients. Lastly, the education webinar delves into the ethical questions stemming from the digital transformation in higher education, encompassing online learning platforms, data analytics, and as well as the use of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT.
