The Institute for the Future of Knowledge (IFK) at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) in collaboration with UJ’s Johannesburg Business School (JBS) will hold a Panel Discussion: Rethinking Higher Education in the 4IR: The Case for a Paradigm Shift, the first in a three-part series on the broader topic, Education in the 4IR: Current State and Emerging Fears. Description: Efficacious and impactful higher education in the 4IR cannot be business as usual. There is a strong case for new content, platforms and tools. Issues such as employability, entrepreneurship, innovation, acquisition of critical competencies, blended learning, learning how to learn, mastering how to think, problem-solving capabilities, structured thinking, and trans-disciplinarity must inform the discourse.
